Firefighter Two Week Personal Gear Pack NFES and DLA Approved

USFS Specification Personal Gear Pack, designed to carry a 2 week supply of clothing, personal items, and sleeping bag, for fire suppression activities and other field assignments.
These firefighter backpacks are made of high quality, water repellent, materials (1000 Denier Cordura Nylon) and are approved by the National Fire Equipment System (NFES). Missoula Technology and Development Center Design is the company that designed these backpacks and Helena Industries produced them but the company was forced to close and the entire unfinished project was bought by Montana Keepers’ Industrial Sewing business, located in Deer Lodge, Montana. These backpacks are the original NFES standard field pack used by firefighters nationwide.
Carrying handle on both the top and sides, built in ID on top, backpack straps, and belt. There are two large compartments on the sides, two medium sized compartments on the front, and the large backpack compartment. The top front compartment has seven individually sized compartments within it. The bottom front compartment is a mesh divider into the large backpack compartment. There is also a large compartment in the back for housing of the fully adjustable, detachable, padded, shoulder straps. The lower portion is a compartment that houses the waist belt when not in use.
